1988 Rolex GMT-Master 16700
The reference 167xx is an excellent choice for those looking to easily switch up the look of their watch due to the ease and affordability of swapping bezels (black, red/black, red/blue), and bracelets (between jubilee and oyster). It’s no secret that the reference 16700 is a favorite of mine for its practical ‘quick set’ date function. This example has the black GMT bezel, a clean look accented by its red GMT hand. This late 80s GMT has the unique open ‘6’ and ‘9’ on the datewheel. The dial and hands are original tritium, and have aged to a light cream. The case remains in thick condition, with very minor signs of use throughout. The bracelet remains in excellent condition, with no slack. An honest GMT-master that has been preserved well over the years!
