1984 Rolex Sea-Dweller 16660

$0.00
sold out

The Rolex Sea-Dweller 16660 “Triple Six” is a transitional model for the Sea-Dweller: from plastic to sapphire crystal, and from matte to glossy dial. The watch has aged very nicely with even patina on the dial and hands, both of which are original tritium. The once-glossy dial has aged and turned matte, which is common for watches of this era. Under direct light or sunlight, this aging creates a nice sparkle effect. The tritium hands have been stabilized to prevent cracking. Both hands and dial react similarly under UV light, with sparkles of luminescence. The insert is a later insert, with a lume pip that still glows. The watch has been polished in the past, but the heft and thickness of the Sea-Dweller case is still there. It comes on a 93160 bracelet with 592 solid end links.
