1979 Rolex Oyster Perpetual "Jumbo" 1018 Glossy Black Dial

$0.00
sold out

If you haven’t heard of the reference 1018, it’s because of its low production numbers. One of the uncommon, cult-like references known to few collectors is the reference 1018, the cousin of the beloved reference 1016 Explorer. These Oyster Perpetual measures 36mm, aptly named “Oyster Perpetual Jumbo” as the OPs of the day were a smaller 34mm. Additionally, it is even more uncommon to find outside of the silver dial usually found on 1018s. The caseback is stamped I.69 which is correct due to batch manufacturing, with some parts no longer manufactured after this year. The watch has 558 end links, 78360 oyster bracelet with visible wear and a later S clasp.

Serial - Year: 6.03m serial ~1979

Bracelet - Strap: 78360 bracelet with S clasp. Fits up to 7.25” wrist

Box - Papers - Accessories: Watch only

Service History: Running at 3s/d, 287 amplitude
