1969 Rolex Day-Date 1803 "Egyptian" Matte Blue Pie-Pan Dial
Rolex makes some of the most exquisite dials for its datejust and day-date line. Presented here is the “Egyptian” matte blue pie-pan dial. The pie-pan or step dials were present only in the late 60s/early 70s datejusts and day-dates. This pie-pan dial, combined with a rare Egyptian matte blue color, makes it an uncommon variant in the early day-dates. 1.93m serial dates the watch to approximately 1969. The case and bezel remain in excellent condition over the years, and has taken on a nice rosy patina. The watch comes on a custom Aaron Bespoke leather strap and an aftermarket Rolex gold plated buckle.
