1971 Rolex Oysterdate 6694 Gray Dial
This manual wind 6694, which was originally a gray dial, has degraded in various areas throughout. Difficult to capture in photos, the dial alternates and shimmers in gray and silver, almost giving the appearance of liquid metal. The lume on the dial and hands have remained a vibrant yellow. Unsure of the natural elements that caused the dial to age in such a way, but the movement remains in great condition, and is running smoothly. No slack on the fully linked bracelet. A new OEM crystal was just installed on the watch.
Serial - Year: 2.69m serial ~1971
Bracelet - Strap: 78350 bracelet with VE clasp. 13 links. FIts up to ~7.5” wrist
Box - Papers - Accessories: Watch only
Service History: New OEM crystal installed 7/21/2025. Movement history unknown. Running at 6s/d, 274 amplitude
