1972 Rolex GMT-Master 1675

$0.00
sold out

This GMT-Master has been extremely well preserved throughout the course of its life. The serial is 3.1m, dating the watch to approximately 1972. In the last 48 years, it appears that the case has never received a machine polish. It has what is dubbed a “sleeve polish”: an unintentional rubbing of various garments or surfaces that dull the case’s original finish and edges over time. However, the chamfers are clearly visible, and the lug holes are sharp. The fat font bezel has aged nicely into ocean blue and red orange hues. Its tritium hands and applied markers have aged to dark yellow and provide a subtle but welcome contrast to the dark matte dial. Together, the watch is reminiscent of a picturesque oceanside sunset. :-)

The bracelet is an original Rolex C+I rivet bracelet from 1970. It has been tightened and restored to original factory specs, allowing for worry-free wear.
