1969 Rolex Datejust 1603 Pie-pan Buckley Cream Dial

$0.00
sold out

The Buckley dial, or the painted Roman numerals on the dial is named after John Buckley, one of the veteran watch dealers in the industry for his enthusiasm towards these dials. The pie-pan (or “step”) dial is only found in early 60s datejust dials, which is desirable for some collectors. Lastly, age will turn a previously-white dial into cream, and this is the first pie-pan (or step-dial) Buckley that has turned cream which I’ve come across in the market. Tritium plots have aged nicely to a deep yellow. Overall, the watch is a unique piece that would be a nice addition to a vintage collection.

Serial - Year: 2.02m serial ~1969

Bracelet - Strap: 7836 Folded Link Bracelet

Box - Papers - Accessories: Watch only

Service History: Fresh service.
